This is the personal and professional website of Patrick Burns. I'm a college student who has been interested in music for most of my life. I use this web site as both an offering of services and a showcase of my musical work.
I have chosen to keep this site as personal and in the first person as possible because music is very personal to me! We don't offer anything; I do. Browse around and send me a message if you like what you see and hear.
Bio
Music has always been around me: my older sisters with their piano and violin lessons; my parents and their 60s and 70s radio stations; our vast collection of CDs, tapes, and LPs; and my mother always playing music when we went to bed. I began piano lessons when I was seven and classical guitar when I was 9 – both lasted 7 years.
Around the time I was 12, I discovered software sequencers and DAWs. My obsessive, deliberate approach to music found this different medium exciting and rich in potential. That development renewed my dedication and determination to be a musician more than anything, and I haven't looked back.
I am currently pursuing a music degree at the University of Richmond, and I continue to play guitar, compose, and mix sound for live bands. As college wraps up I will be pursuing a career in music. Stay tuned...
